Node Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Wife. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jocelyn Pook (Eyes Wide Shut, The Merchant of Venice, Brick Lane, The Staircase). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Wife is directed by Björn Runge and stars Glenn Close, Jonathan Pryce, Christian Slater, Max Irons, Harry Lloyd, Annie Starke and Elizabeth McGovern. The movie is based on the Meg Wolitzer novel of the title and revolves around a wife who questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm with her narcissistic husband, who is set to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and was released this summer by Sony Pictures Classics. Visit the official movie website for more information.
