Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album for the French animated feature Dilili in Paris (Dilili à Paris). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, City of Angels, 1408). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full track list. A CD version is also being released overseas. Dilili in Paris is written and directed by Michel Ocelot and follows a young Kanak who investigates a spate of mysterious kidnappings of young girls that is plaguing Belle Epoque Paris and encounters a series of extraordinary characters in the course of her investigation. The animated movie premiered at this year’s Annecy Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on October 10. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
