Milan Records will release a score album for the drama The Hate U Give. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee Dustin O’Halloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, Puzzle, Breathe In, Equals). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 5 (click here to download) and physically on October 19. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. As previously reported, Def Jam Recordings will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. The Hate U Give is directed by George Tillman, Jr. and stars Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, KJ Apa, Algee Smith, Lamar Johnson, Issa Rae, Sabrina Carpenter, Anthony Mackie and Common. The drama based on the New York Times bestseller by Angie Thomas is being released in select theaters this weekend by 20th Century Fox before expanding nationwide on October 19.
