John Debney has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic. The film is directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, The Final Girls) and stars Rebel Wilson, Liam Hemsworth, Adam Devine, Priyanka Chopra and Betty Gilpin. The centers on a cynical woman who discovers that her life has become a romantic comedy, and she goes from sidekick to center stage. Erin Cardillo (Life Sentence), Dana Fox (Couple Retreat, How to Be Single) and Katie Silberman (Set It Up) wrote the screenplay. Todd Garner (Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Tag), Grant Scharbo (Missing) and Gina Matthews (What Women Want, 13 Going on 30) are producing the New Line Cinema production. Jon Brion has originally been hired to score the film as reported earlier this year. Isn’t It Romantic is set to be released on February 14, 2019 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Debney’s upcoming feature projects also include Harmony Korine’s The Beach Bum, which will be released in theaters on March 22, 2019 by Neon, as well as Tom Shaydac’s Brian Banks, which is premiering this month at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Considering we actually got a score release for A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, maybe we’ll get lucky and this one will get a score release.
