Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming thriller Bad Times at the El Royale. The film is written and directed by Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods, The Martian) and stars Jeff Bridges,Chris Hemsworth, Cynthia Erivo, Cailee Spaeny, Dakota Johnson, Lewis Pullman and Jon Hamm. The movie follows seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, who meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Goddard is also producing the project with Jeremy Latcham. Bad Times at the El Royale is set to be released in theaters on October 5, 2018 by 20th Century Fox. Visit the official movie website for updates.
Giacchino’s recent projects also include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Incredibles 2, both of which are opening in theaters this month.
