22D Music will release a soundtrack album for the French/Japanese animated feature Mutafukaz. The album features the film’s original music composed by The Toxic Avenger and Guillaume Houzé (Wakfu). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 23, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The first track, Luna, is already available to download. Mutafukaz is directed by Guillaume Renard & Shoujirou Nishimi and revolves around a deadbeat living in Dark Meat City, a ruthless megalopolis of California, who starts experiencing violent headaches doubled with strange hallucinations as he slowly awakens to the truth of his origins. The movie premiered at last year’s Annecy Intl. Animation Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on May 23. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
