Grammy Award winner Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum (Stockholm, Pennsylvania, Regarding Susan Sontag) has been hired to score the upcoming dramatic thriller Painkillers. The film is directed by Roxy Shih (The Tribe) and stars Adam Huss, Madeline Zima, Grant Bowler, Debra Wilson and Mischa Barton. The movie follows a brilliant surgeon who, after a terrible car crash in which his son dies, is tormented by guilt. When his marriage starts to disintegrate, he soon finds out that the only thing that can ease his pain is the taste of human blood. Giles Daoust wrote the screenplay. Luke Barnett & Vincent Masciale (Fear, Inc.) are producing the project for Lone Suspect, alongside Daoust & Catherine Dumonceaux for Title Media. Painkillers is currently in post-production and is expected to be premiere in 2018.
