Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the biographical drama LBJ. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Shaiman (A Few Good Men, Misery, Sister Act, Hairspray, The Bucket List, City Slickers). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 3 (click here to download) and physically a couple of weeks later. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. LBJ is directed by Rob Reiner and stars Woody Harrelson, Michael Stahl-David, Richard Jenkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jeffrey Donovan and Bill Pullman. The movie follows President Lyndon B. Johnson’s political career from his days as Senate majority leader to his ascendancy to the presidency in the wake of Kennedy’s assassination, and culminating in his decision not to seek re-election in 1968. The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is being released this weekend in over 600 U.S. theaters by Electric Entertainment.
