David Wingo has composed the music for the upcoming Amazon Studios pilot Sea Oak. The show is created by George Saunders (Lincoln in the Bardo) based on his own short story and stars Glenn Close, Jane Levy, Rae Gray, Jack Quaid and Sarah Hay. The comedy revolves around a lonesome woman who comes back from the dead to live the life she was too afraid to live. Hiro Murai (Atlanta) directed the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Jonathan Krauss and Evan Dunsky (Nurse Jackie, Hemlock Grove). The pilot of Sea Oak will premiere on November 10 and Amazon.
Wingo (Take Shelter, Loving, Mud, All the Real Girls, Midnight Special) also has the HBO original series Barry starring Bill Hader, as well as the indie drama State Like Sleep starring Katherine Waterston & Michael Shannon coming up.
