Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature The Breadwinner. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Surf’s Up) and Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Storks). The soundtrack will be released on November 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Breadwinner is directed by Nora Twomey (The Secret of Kells) and executive produced by Angelina Jolie. The movie is based on Deborah Ellis’ award-winning novel and tells the story of an 11-year-old Afghan girl, born into an ever-changing world of conflict and oppression, who finds strength in the love of her family and the power of storytelling. The animated feature premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on November 17 by GKIDS. Visit the official movie website for updates.
