Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for Matthew Heineman’s documentary City of Ghosts. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jackson Greenberg and H. Scott Salinas (Birth of the Dragon, The Ivory Game) who previously co-scored Heineman’s Cartel Land. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 21. The download link will be added to this article later this week. City of Ghosts follows the journey of “Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently” – a handful of anonymous activists who banded together after their homeland was taken over by ISIS in 2014. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was picked up for domestic distribution by Amazon Studios and IFC Films. The movie opened in New York last weekend and will expand to more markets this Friday. Visit the official movie website for more information.
