Dominik Scherrer has been hired to score the upcoming Netflix and BBC series Requiem. The show is created by Cris Mrksa (The Slap, Underbelly) and stars Lydia Wilson, Joel Fry, Tara Fitzgerald, James Frecheville, Claire Rushbrook, Richard Harrington, Joanna Scanlan, Brendan Coyle, Sian Reese Williams, Dyfan Dwyfor and Ifan Huw Thomas. The psychological thriller centers around a young woman, who, in the wake of her mother’s death, sets out to learn the truth about herself. Willow Grylls, Elaine Pyke & Charlie Pattinson (Shameless, Skins, The White Queen) are executive producing New Pictures production with Mrska and Christopher Aird (Call the Midwife). Mahalia Belo is directing all episodes of the 6-parter. Scherrer has previously scored New Pictures’ mini-series The Missing, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. Requiem is expected to premiere later this year in the UK on BBC One and in other markets on Netflix.
