Halli Cauthery has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming Hulu original series Future Man. The show is created by Kyle Hunter & Ariel Shaffir (Sausage Party, The Night Before) and stars Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Glenne Headly. The comedy follows a janitor by day/world-ranked gamer by night who is tasked with preventing the extinction of humanity after mysterious visitors from the future proclaim him the key to defeating the imminent super-race invasion. Hunter and Shaffir are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man), James Weaver (Neighbors, Preacher), showrunner Ben Karlin (50/50) and Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, The Interview) who are also directing the first three episodes. Future Man is expected to premiere later this year on Hulu.
Cauthery’s previous scoring credits include Zal Batmanglij’s The East, DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo F.A.S.T. animated series and Bernard Rose’s Frankenstein. He also contributed additional music for numerous scores written by Harry Gregson-Williams and Henry Jackman,
