Walter Mair is composing the music for the upcoming drama 3 Way Junction. The film is directed by Juergen Bollmeyer and stars Tom Sturridge, Stacy Martin and Tommy Flanagan. The movie follows a London architect who travels to the grand dunes of the Namibian Desert to escape, but ends up finding himself stranded alone, desperately waiting for a ride that never comes. Don Bohlinger (The Experiment, Elles) and Jessica Hundley wrote the screenplay. Maggie Monteith (Searching For Sugar Man) is producing the project for Dignity Films, alongside Michael Auret (Young Ones) for Spier Films and Oliver Stoltz (Live, Above All). 3 Way Junction is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Mair whose previous scoring credits include the TV shows Cuffs and Glue, as well as the documentary Ronaldo, also has scored the German mini-series The Same Sky. The show is created and written by Paula Milne (The Politician’s Husband), directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall, The Experiment) and stars Sofia Helin, Tom Schilling and Friederike Becht. The 6-hour thriller is set in Cold War Berlin and centers on the relationship between an East German agent and his target in the West, the woman he must seduce for the sake of his country. The series will premiere in Germany on March 27 and is set to have its U.S. debut later this year on Netflix.
