Alex Heffes is reteaming with director Peter Webber on the upcoming documentary Earth: One Amazing Day. The film directed by Webber (The Girl With The Pearl Earring, Hannibal Rising) & Richard Dale (The Human Body) is the sequel to 2007’s hit movie Earth (scored by George Fenton) and tells the story of one day in the life of the planet, “celebrating the billions of real-life dramas that occur in the natural world every day”. Robert Redford is narrating the English-langue version of the film, while Jackie Chan will narrate the Mandarin version. Frank Cottrell-Boyce (The Railway Man, Millions) wrote the screenplay and Stephen McDonogh (Walking With Dinosaurs) is producing the BBC Earth Films & SMG Pictures production. Heffes previously collaborated with Webber on 2012’s Emperor and the 2015 documentary Ten Billion. Earth: One Amazing Day is expected to be released later this year. (Screen Daily)
