Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings has announced a soundtrack album for the music documentary We Are X. The album features the songs from the movie by the film’s subject matter, the Japanese punk-rock band X Japan. The soundtrack will be released on March 3, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. We Are X is directed by Stephen Kijak and follows X Japan, as its star drummer Yoshiki prepares for a reunion concert at Madison Square Garden. The movie produced by John Battsek (Searching for Sugar Man) includes testimonials from such high-profile groupies as Gene Simmons and Marilyn Manson. The documentary premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and was released in select theaters this past fall by Drafthouse Films. To learn more about the film, visit the official movie website.
