Carter Burwell is reuniting with Martin McDonagh on the upcoming comedy drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The film is written and directed by McDonagh and stars Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, Peter Dinklage, John Hawkes and Caleb Landry Jones. The movie revolves around a woman whose daughter is murdered and then goes to war with the police in her hometown because she thinks they are not interested in pursuing justice. McDonagh is also producing the project with Graham Broadbent (Becoming Jane) and Peter Czernin (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) for Blueprint Pictures. Burwell has previously scored the director’s previous two features, In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2017.
Burwell’s upcoming projects also include John Lee Hancock’s The Founder starring Michael Keaton and Todd Haynes’ Wonderstruck starring Julianne Moore & Michelle Williams.
