Madison Gate Records will release a soundtrack album for the thriller When the Bough Breaks. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, The Following, Gods and Generals). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 2 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. When the Bough Breaks is directed by Jon Cassar and stars Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, Romany Malco, Michael K. Williams, Theo Rossi and Jaz Sinclair. The movie follows a professional couple that is unable to conceive a child and decides to hire a young blue collar woman as a surrogate, before she develops a psychotic fixation on the husband.

Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans to Score Charlie McDowell’s ‘The Discovery’
Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans are reteaming with director Charlie McDowell on the upcoming sci-fi drama The Discovery. The film stars Rooney Mara, Robert Redford, Jason Segel, Jesse Plemons, Riley Keough and Ron Canada. The movie is set one year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified and follows the scientist responsible for the discovery and a woman haunted by a tragic past who Will falls in love with his son. McDowell has also written the screenplay with Justin Lader. Endgame Entertainment’s James Stern (Looper, I’m Not There) is producing the project with Alex Orlovsky (Blue Valentine, The Place Beyond the Pines).
‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ Soundtrack Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the details of the first soundtrack release for the 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off directed by John Hughes and starring Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck and Mia Sara. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ira Newborn (The Naked Gun, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck), as well as the songs from the movie by The Flowerpot Men, Blue Room, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Yello, The Dream Academy and Wayne Newton. Also included as bonus tracks are source cues and alternate score cues. The soundtrack, which is limited to 5000 copies, will be available to pre-order on September 13 on the label’s official website.
