Mica Levi is composing the original music for the upcoming biographical drama Jackie. The film is directed by Pablo Larraín (No, The Club) and stars Natalie Portman, Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup and John Hurt. The movie depicts the events leading up to and following the assassination of JFK in 1963 through the eyes of First Lady, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Noah Oppenheim (The Maze Runner) has written the screenplay. Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream) is producing the project with Juan de Dios Larraín (Gloria, Nasty Baby), Mickey Liddell (The Grey, Go), Scott Franklin (Noah, The Wrestler) and Ari Handel (The Fountain). The project marks the second film scoring assignment of Levi (aka Micachu) who previously composed the music for 2014’s Under the Skin, for which she received a BAFT Award nomination. Jackie will premiere next month at the Venice Film Festival.
