Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Stranger Things. The label will release the soundtrack in two parts. Both albums feature the show’s original music composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of the Austin-based synth band S U R V I V E. The Vol. 1 soundtrack will be released digitally on August 12, 2016 and physically on September 16. and Vol. 2 will be released digitally on August 19 and physically on September 23. Stranger Things is created by Matt & Ross Duffer and stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton and Matthew Modine. The supernatural drama is set in Indiana, where a young boy vanishes into thin air amid an unfolding mystery involving top-secret experiments, supernatural forces and a strange little girl. The full first season is now available to stream on Netflix.
