Nicholas Hooper has recently recorded his score for the upcoming television drama Winter Thaw. The film is directed by Adam Thomas Anderegg and stars John Rhys-Davies, Karl Johnson and Valentin Novopolskij. The movie is based on Leo Tolstoy’s short story Martin the Cobbler (also commonly known as Where Love Is, God Is) and was adapted for the small screen by author Joseph Clay (Demons of the Jungle). Russ Kendall (The Song the Changed My Life) is producing the project for Kaleidoscope Pictures. Hooper is best known for his scores for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, as well as David Yates’ The Girl in the Cafe and Disneynature’s Chimpanzee and African Cats. Winter Thaw is set to premiere this coming Thanksgiving on Brigham Young University’s BYUtv, a commercial-free network available on Dish Network, DirecTV and cable systems.
