Nathan Matthew David has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy The Last Word. The film is directed by Mark Pellington (Arlington Road, The Mothman Prophecies) and stars Shirley MacLaine, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Heche, Philip Baker Hall, Scott Speedman and Tom Everett Scott. The movie centers around the relationship between a retired businesswoman who decides to write her own obituary and a young journalist takes up the task of finding out the truth. Stuart Ross Fink has written the screenplay. Pellington is also producing the project with Kirk D’Amico (Eulogy, Breaking the Girls) for Myriad Pictures and Anne-Marie MacKay for Wondros. The Last Word is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year or in 2017 by Bleecker Street.
David’s recent projects also include the second season of TBS’ Angie Tribeca, which currently airs every Monday night. He also has the drama Hold On written and directed by Tarek Tohme and starring Luis Guzman Flavor Flav, Beth Grant and John Savage coming up.
