Mark Mothersbaugh has scored the pilot for the Amazon Studios series The Interestings. The show is created by Lyn Greene & Richard Levine (Masters of Sex, Nip/Tuck) and stars Lauren Ambrose, David Krumholtz, Jessica Pare, Matt Barr, Gabriel Ebert, Jessica Collins and Corey Cott. The drama is based on Meg Wolitzer’s bestselling novel and follows a group of artistic teenagers who meet at summer camp in 1974 and whose friendships are tested by tragedy, success, failure and secrets over the next few decades. Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Four Weddings and a Funeral) has directed the pilot episode. He is also executive producing the TriStar Television production with Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Captain Phillips) and Lindsay Sloane. The pilot of The Interestings is now available to stream on Amazon. A decision whether it will be picked up to series is expected within the next couple of months.
Mothersbaugh is also expected to return to score third season of The Last Man on Earth, which will premiere this fall on Fox.
