Paramount Pictures, Skydance, Bad Robot and director Justin Lin have announced that the San Diego Symphony Orchestra will perform the original score for the upcoming sci-fi adventure Star Trek Beyond at the film’s world premiere at Comic-Con International on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Embarcadero Marina Park South in San Diego. The film’s music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Inside Out, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) who previously scored J.J. Abrams’ 2009 reboot and its 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness. As previously reported, Varese Sarabande will release the official soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score on July 22 (click here to pre-order the CD). Star Trek Beyond starring John Cho, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoë Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba will be released nationwide on July 22.
