Mark Brooks and Emily Kavanaugh of the Los Angeles synth pop band Night Club are scoring the animated comedy Nerdland. The film is directed by Chris Prynoski and features the voices of Paul Rudd, Patton Oswalt, Hannibal Buress, Riki Lindhome, Kate Micucci, Mike Judge and Reid Scott. The movie follows an aspiring actor and a would-be screenwriter Elliot who set out on an all-day journey in Los Angeles to make it big by the end of the night. Andrew Kevin Walker (Seven, Sleepy Hollow, 8MM) has written the screenplay. Gavin Polone (Panic Room, Gilmore Girls, Zombieland) is producing the project, which marks the first feature from animation house Titmouse (Metalocalypse, Superjail!). Brooks and Kavanaugh have previously scored Titmouse’s Comedy Central series Moonbeam City. Nerdland will premiere later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival. Visit the official movie website for updates on the film.
