Patrick Doyle has signed on to score the upcoming animated feature Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero. The film is directed by Daniel St. Pierre (Everyone’s Hero, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return) and tells the true story of Stubby, a stray Boston bull terrier, who forged a lasting bond with the men of the 26th “Yankee” Division at the onset of America’s involvement in World War I. Mike Stokey has written the screenplay with Richard Lanni who also serves as an executive producer. No voice cast has been announced yet. Doyle’s previous animation scoring credits include Pixar’s Brave, Quest for Camelot and Igor. Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero is set to be released in early 2018.
