Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ 1989 sci-fi adventure Back to the Future Part II starring Michael J. Fox & Christopher Llyod. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Avengers, The Walk, Contact), including over 50 minutes of previously unreleased music. The 2-CD set features the full score on the first disc and over 30 minutes of alternate cues on the second disc. Intrada has previously released a special 2-CD release for the first part in the series and, to coincide with the new release and the 30th anniversary of the film, has reissued the first disc of the previous release, which is now available to order here.
The label has also announced a new soundtrack release for the 1965 action drama In Harm’s Way directed by Otto Preminger and starring John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Patricia Neal and Henry Fonda. The album features the expanded score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Alien, Poltergeist, Patton, The Omen), including previously unreleased music.
