Island Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Amy. The album features the songs from the movie by the film’s subject Amy Winehouse, including live versions of such tracks as Rehab, Valerie, What It Is About Men, We’re Still Friends & more. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Antonio Pinto (Senna, City of God, Lord of War, McFarland, USA). The soundtrack will be released on October 30, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Amy is directed by Asif Kapadia and chronicles the British singer’s rise to fame before her untimely death at age 27 of alcohol poisoning. The documentary was released this past summer in theaters by A24 Films and is considered to be one of the frontrunners in the Best Documentary categories during this year’s awards season.
