The details of the third soundtrack album for the Netflix original series House of Cards have been announced. The album features selections from the show’s original music of the third season composed by Jeff Beal (Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Appaloosa, Ugly Betty) who has earned a total of four Emmy Award nominations for his work on the project to date. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 11, 2015 and physically as a 2-CD set on October 2 by Varese Sarabande. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CDs. The label has previously released soundtracks for the first and second season. House of Cards is developed by Beau Willimon, executive produced by David Fincher and stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. The drama’s third season, which received eight Emmy nominations, including for Outstanding Drama Series, Actor and Actress, is currently streaming on Netflix and is also available on Blu-ray and DVD. The series will return for a fourth season in 2016.
