Johnny Klimek has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Patient Zero. The film is directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky (The Counterfeiters, Anatomy, Deadfall) and stars Matt Smith, Natalie Dormer, John Bradley Agyness Deyn and Stanley Tucci. The movie takes place after an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies has turned the majority of humankind into highly intelligent, streamlined killers and follows one victim who is asymptomatic and can communicate with the infected and leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure. Mike Le has written the screenplay and Vincent Newman (We’re the Millers, A Man Apart) is producing the project. Patient Zero will be released in 2016 by Screen Gems/Sony Pictures.
Klimek (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, One Hour Photo, The Newsroom) recently scored the Netflix original series Sense8 with Tom Tykwer and also has Tykwer’s A Hologram for the King and the thriller 6 Miranda Drive coming up.
