Charlie Mole has recently recorded his score for the upcoming British comedy Dad’s Army. The film is directed by Oliver Parker (Johnny English Returns) and stars Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Toby Jone, Tom Courtenay, Michael Gambon, Blake Harrison, Danny Mays, Bill Paterson, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie. The movie based on the British TV series of the same title is set in 1944 as World War II is reaching its climax and follows the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard platoon dealing with a visiting female journalist and a German spy. Hamish McColl (Paddington, Mr. Bean’s Holiday, Johnny English Returns) wrote the screenplay and Damian Jones (The Iron Lady, Belle, Minions) is producing the project. Mole and Parker have previously collaborated on such movies as An Ideal Husband, Othello, The Importance of Being Earnest and Dorian Gray. Dad’s Army is set to be released in the UK on February 12, 2016.
