Mark Mothersbaugh is writing the theme music and Adam Berry is composing the original score for the Amazon Studios pilot Lost in Oz. The animated show is set in a modern, metropolitan Emerald City in which 12-year-old Dorothy Gale befriends West, a young, street-smart witch grappling with dark temptations, and Ojo, a giant munchkin. Bureau of Magic’s Darin Mark, Jared Mark, Abram Makowka and Mark Warshaw (East Los High, Smallville) are developing and producing the project, which is designed by Flaunt Productions and animated by Arc Productions (9, Gnomeo & Juliet). Lost in Oz is set to premiere this summer on Amazon and viewers will be able to vote and influence the decision whether the project will be picked up to series. (via Variety)
Mothersbaugh’s other upcoming projects include the animated feature Hotel Translyania 2 and the comedy Vacation. Berry’s previous scoring credits include such animated hit shows as South Park, Kim Possible and The Penguins of Madagascar.
I can’t wait for this show! It looks amazing. I was a huge Kim Possible fan (of the show and the music) and am ready for another great animated series.
