Rickey Minor has been tapped to compose the music for the upcoming NBC comedy Mr. Robinson. The show is created by Robb & Mark Cullen (Back in the Game, Cop Out) and stars Craig Robinson, Ben Koldyke, Amandla Stenberg, Brandon T. Jackson, Peri Gilpin, Spencer Grammer and Tim Bagley. The series follows a man who jams in a rock band called Nasty Delicious that has been unsuccessfully trying to break out for a decade at night and also has a gig as a substitute music teacher with the Chicago School District by day. Robb and Mark Cullen are also executive producing the Universal Television and 3 Arts Entertainment production with Howard Klein (The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Mindy Project), Mark Schulman and Andy Ackerman (Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine) who also directed the pilot episode. Minor is best known as the former bandleader and musical director of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. He also served as a musical director on American Idol, as well as the Grammy Awards and was honored with four Emmy nominations.
