Peter Golub has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Songs My Brothers Taught Me. The film is written and directed by Chloé Zhao and stars John Reddy, Jashaun St. John, Irene Bedard, Taysha Fuller, Travis Lone Hill and Eléonore Hendricks. The movie takes place at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and follows a brother and his younger sister, who find themselves on separate paths to rediscovering the meaning of home. Zhao is also producing the project with Forest Withaker & Nina Yang Bongiovi (Fruitvale Station, Repentance), Angela C. Lee and Mollye Asher. Golub’s previous film scoring credits include such titles as Frozen River, The Great Debaters and Wordplay. Songs My Brothers Taught Me is set to premiere later this month in competition at the Sundance Film Festival.
