Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 adventure drama A Far Off Place directed by Mikael Salomon and starring Reese Witherspoon, Jack Thompson and Maximilian Schell. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind), including more than half an hour of previously unreleased music. Also included are two cues that were not used in the final version of the film. The label has also announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1987 ABC mini-series Queenie based on Michael Korda’s novel, directed by Larry Peerce and starring Mia Sara, Kirk Douglas, Martin Balsam and Claire Bloom. The album features the two-parter’s original music composed and conducted by Georges Delerue (Love Story, Platoon, Steel Magnolias).
