Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack EP for the indie comedy Dear White People. The EP features the film’s original score composed by Kathryn Bostic (Middle of Nowhere). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 18, 2014. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few weeks. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. Dear White People. The movie is written and directed by Justin Simien and stars Tyler James Williams, Tessa Thompson, Kyle Gallner, Teyonah Parris, Brandon P. Bell and Dennis Haysbert. The movie centers on a group of African American students as they navigate campus life and racial politics at a predominantly white college. The comedy, which won the 2014 Sundance Film Festival’s Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent is now playing in select theaters.
