Ronen Landa has been tapped to write the music for the upcoming psychological thriller Eloise. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor Robert Legato (Titanic, Hugo, Apollo 13) and stars Chace Crawford, Eliza Dushku, Brandon T. Jackson, Robert Patrick and P.J. Byrne. The movie follows four friends who break into a defunct insane asylum and find that the institution not only houses a horrifying history but also the truth about their own tragic pasts. Chris Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes, Whisper) has written the screenplay. Tripp Vinson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Rite, The Number 23) and Sanford Nelson are producing the project for Slam Productions and Vinson Film. Eloise is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2015.
Landa whose previous scoring credits include The Pact, Cavemen and the recent horror film At the Devil’s Door also has the drama Hell of a View coming up. The film is written and directed by Ben Hickernell (Backwards) and stars Hunter Parrish, Ashley Hinshaw, Jonathan Togo, Victor Slezak, Nana Visitor and Tim Daly. The movie follows a young chef after the destruction of his family’s well-established Atlantic City restaurant during Hurricane Sandy. Kristin Fairweather and Daryl Freimark (Some Velvet Morning) are producing the project. No word yet on a release date.
