Johan Söderqvist is reteaming with Susanne Bier on the upcoming drama A Second Chance (En chance til). The Danish/Swedish co-production stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Ulrich Thomsen, Maria Bonnevie, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Lykke May Andersen. The film follows a veteran police with a wife and new baby who makes a fateful decision when he is brought back into contact with a pair of junkie parents. Anders Thomas Jensen has written the screenplay and Sisse Graum Jørgensen is producing the Zentropa production. The Academy Award-winning director has previously collaborated with the composer on numerous projects, including In a Better World, Brothers and Love Is All You Need. He also scored Bier’s Serena starring Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence, which is still awaiting a premiere date.
A Second Chance will premiere in September at the Toronto International Film Festival.
