Premiering tonight is the HBO original movie The Normal Heart directed by Ryan Murphy and starring Mark Ruffalo, Taylor Kitsch, Matt Bomer, Julia Roberts, Jim Parsons, Jonathan Groff, Alfred Molina, Joe Mantello, Denis O’Hare, Stephen Spinella and Corey Stoll. The movie is based on a play by Larry Kramer and tells the story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s. Premiering tomorrow, May 26 is the Lifetime original movie and Flowers in the Attic sequel Petals on the Wind directed by Karen Moncrieff, executive produced by Merideth Finn & Michele Weiss and starring Heather Graham, Ellen Burstyn, Dylan Bruce, Rose McIver, Wyatt Nash, Bailey Buntain and Will Kemp. Also premiering on Memorial Day is the event docu-series The World Wars executive produced by Stephen David, directed by John Ealer and narrated by Jeremy Renner. Rusty Massive have composed the film’s original music. A&E Networks have released a soundtrack album featuring the show’s score earlier this week. Premiering on Wednesday, May 28 is the NBC drama The Night Shift created by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah and starring Eoin Macken, Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, Freddy Rodriguez, Robert Bailey Jr., Jill Flint, JR Lemon, Jeananne Goossen and Daniella Alonso. The show’s original music is composed by Fred Coury who is best known as the drummer for the metal band Cinderella.The Night Shift follows the staff who work the late night shift in the ER at San Antonio Medical Center.
