Scott Glasgow has signed on to score the crime thriller Poker Night. The film is written and directed by Greg Francis and stars Ron Perlman, Giancarlo Esposito, Titus Welliver, Ron Eldard and Beau Mirchoff. The movie follows a young cop who learns from a Greek chorus of wiser, older detectives gathered for their ritual night of poker when a killer pulls the young cop and his mentors into a web of mutual deceit. Corey Large (Loaded) and Alan Pao are producing the project for Wingman Productions. Glasgow has previously collaborated with the producers on the features Chasing Ghosts and Toxic. Poker Night is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in 2014.
Glasgow has also recently composed the score for the thriller Secrets of a Psychopath. The film is directed by Bert I. Gordon and stars Mark Famiglietti and Kari Wuhrer. The movie marks the first directorial effort in over 20 years by the 91-year old filmmaker who is best known for helming a number of 50s/60s B-movie cult titles such as The Amazing Colossal Man and Earth Vs. the Spider. The Sunrise Motion Pictures production is targeting a 2014 release date. The composer is also currently working on a soundtrack release of his score for this year’s horror sequel Hatchet III to be released by Intrada Records.
