Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1985 fantasy comedy Cocoon directed by Ron Howard and starring Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley, Hume Cronyn, Jack Gilford, Maureen Stapleton, Jessica Tandy, Brian Dennehy, Steve Guttenberg and Tahnee Welch. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the 20the Century Fox production composed and conducted by James Horner who collaborated with Howard numerous times on such movies as Apollo 13, Willow, A Beautiful Mind and Ransom. Intrada has also announced a new soundtrack edition for the 1990 thriller The Hunt for Red October based on Tom Clancy’s novel, directed by John McTiernan and starring Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, James Earl Jones and Sam Neill. The album features the expanded score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, Robocop), including more than half an hour of previously unreleased music.
