Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman are scoring the new Lifetime original series Witches of East End. The show is created by Maggie Friedman (Eastwick) and stars Julia Ormond, Mädchen Amick, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Rachel Boston in the titles roles. Also set to star are Eric Winter, Daniel DiTomasso, Jason George and Virginia Madsen. The drama is inspired by the New York Times best-selling novel of the same titles by Melissa de la Cruz about a family of witches living in the secluded seaside town of East Haven. Friedman is executive producing the Fox 21 production with Jonathan Kaplan (Without a Trace, ER), Erwin Stoff (The Matrix) and Josh Reims (Brothers & Sisters). Mark Waters (Mean Girls, The Spiderwick Chronicles) has directed the pilot episode. Wendy & Lisa’s previous scoring credits include the TV shows Heroes, Touch and Nurse Jackie, as well as such features as Dangerous Minds, Just Wright and Something New.
