Michael Wandmacher is the composer of the upcoming ABC comedy The Goldbergs. The show is created by Adam F. Goldberg and stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jerr Garlin, George Segal, Hayley Orrantia, Sean Giambrone and Troy Gentile. The series is set in the 80s and centers on an in-your-face mother and hot-tempered father who love their three eccentric kids so much, they can’t bear to see them grow up. Goldberg is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and Happy Madison production with Doug Robinson (Rules of Engagement). Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) has directed the pilot episode. Wandmacher has previously scored the Goldberg-created Fox comedy Breaking In. Wandmacher whose previous feature scoring credits include My Bloody Valentine 3D, Piranha 3D, Cry Wolf, The Last Exorcism: Part II and Drive Angry also has the indie psychological thriller 13 Sins coming up. The film is directed by Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) and stars Mark Webber, Ron Perlman, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Rutina Wesley, Tom Bower and Devon Graye. The movie is a remake of the Thai thriller 13: Game of Death and follows a man who is offered a chance to will a substantial cash prize if he can complete 13 challenges. IM Global’s Octane label is producing and financing the film alongside Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Welcome to the Punch) of Automatik Entertainment and Kiki Miyake for Little Magic Films. No word yet on a release date for 13 Sins.
