Christopher Gunning is composing the score for the upcoming biographical drama Grace of Monaco. The film is directed by Olivier Dahan and stars Nicole Kidman as Grace Kelly and Tim Roth as her husband, Prince Rainier III. Frank Langella, Paz Vega, Parker Posey, Derek Jacobi and Milo Ventimiglia are co-starring.The movie is set in 1962 and centers on the Oscar-nominated actress as she is being called upon to save Monaco from a crisis over its standing as a tax haven after it was given six months to reform the nation’s tax laws by French leader Charles de Gaulle. Arash Amel (Erased) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam (Colombiana, Hitman) for Stone Angels and Uday Chopra for YRF Entertainment. Gunning has previously collaborated with Dahan on 2007’s La Vie en Rose starring Marion Cotillard. Grace of Monaco is set to be released in the US on December 27, 2013 by the Weinstein Company.
