Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for John Frankenheimer’s 1964 thriller Seven Days in May written by Rod Serling and starring Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Fredric March and Ava Gardner. The album features the film’s complete score composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. Included on the same CD is the world premiere release of the score for the 1973 thriller The MacKintosh Man directed by John Huston and starring Paul Newman and James Mason. The label has also announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1964 drama The Carpetbaggers directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring George Peppard, Carroll Baker and Alan Ladd. The album features the complete score composed and conducted by Elmer Bernstein (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Magnificent Seven, Ghostbusters), as well as the original 1964 re-recording, which the composer made for the Ava label.
