Dave Porter is scoring the upcoming ABC drama Red Widow. The show created by Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight series, Dexter) is based on the 2010 Dutch drama Penoza. The series stars Radha Mitchell as a housewife who is forced to continue the work of her organized crime husband after he is assassinated in a drug-related incident. Sterling Beaumon, Clifton Collins Jr., Luke Goss, Suleka Mathew, Erin Moriarty, Jaime Ray Newman, Jakob Salvati, Lee Tergesen, Wil Traval, Rade Serbedzija and Goran Visnjic are co-starring. Rosenberg is executive producing the ABC Studios production with Howard Klein (The Office, Parks & Recreation) and Alon Aranya. Mark Pellington (The Mothman Prophecies, Arlington Road) has directed the pilot episode. The show marks Porter’s first TV show scoring assignment following his work on AMC’s critically acclaimed drama Breaking Bad, which is set to return this summer.
