‘Ludwig II’ Soundtrack Details

Bavaria Sonor Mediathek will release a soundtrack album for the German/Austrian costume drama Ludwig II. The album features the film’s original score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Bruno Coulais (The ChorusCoraline) who recorded his music with the Munich Radio Orchestra. Also featured are some of the classical pieces featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released in Germany on December 21, 2012. To listen to audio clips, click here. Ludwig II is directed by Peter Sehr (Love the Hard Way) and Marie Noelle and follows the life of the Bavarian king. The movie’s cast includes Sabin Tambrea, Sebastian Schipper, Hannah Herzsprung, Uwe Ochsenknecht and Edgar Selge who portrays Richard Wagner. Ludwig II is set to be released in Germany on December 26, 2012 by Warner Bros. Pictures. No word yet on domestic distribution.
