The details of the soundtrack album for the family adventure movie Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia (Astérix et Obélix: Au service de Sa Majesté) have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean, Constantine) performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, as well as additional music by Cyrille Aufort (Splice) and Christopher Carmichael (Seven Days in Utopia). Also included are two songs by BB Brunes and Travis Hawley’s I Wanna Go Now. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 15, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia is directed by Laurent Tirard and stars Gerard Depardieu, Edouard Baer, Fabrice Luchini, Catherine Deneuve, Guillaume Gallienne and Vincent Lacoste. The fourth film adaptation of the adventures of Astérix will be released in several European countries including France, Germany and Italy between October 17 and 19. No word yet on a domestic release of the film.
