Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack album for the critically acclaimed drama The Sessions. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award-nominated composer Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, The Hurt Locker). The Sessions is written and directed by Ben Lewin and stars John Hawkes, Helen Hunt and William H. Macy. The film centers on paraplegic polio victim who decides to explore his sexuality and hires a sex surrogate and soon develops a relationship that changes both of their lives. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival where it received the Audience Award and was picked up by Fox Searchlight for domestic distribution. The indie production will be released in limited release on October 19, 2012 before expanding to other cities in the following weeks. Check out the official movie website for updates on the film.
