Audika Records will be releasing a soundtrack for the indie drama Keep the Lights On. The album features the film’s songs by late New York City musician Arthur Russell. The soundtrack will be released on September 4, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from all 9 tracks on the album can be checked out below. Keep the Lights On is directed by Ira Sachs (Married Life) and stars Thure Lindhardt and Zachary Booth as two men who struggle through love, addiction and friendship. The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Music Box for domestic distribution. The movie will be released in select cities on September 7, 2012. Haunting and beautiful music that sent me to the web to find out who did it. I’m especially fond of the closing theme music, which I’m looking to buy now. Great stuff! Sorry to hear that the composer is no longer alive. He had a real talent.
